The plugin core scripts were completely reworked to work without jQuery dependency (YAY for maximum Google Pagespeed insight scores). Only the select2 and the datepicker scripts require jQuery. The legacy scripts will be maintained until 2022/Q1. If you had the plugin installed previously, the legacy scripts are still remain in use.
