Nearby Amenities Listing on Google Maps is a WP Maps Pro add-on that shows places around a location on your map. You can display amenities by the visitor’s current location or by locations you’ve assigned, set a radius in miles or km, let users filter what they see, and pull live place data from Google.
How It Works
- Enable the add-on: Edit your map in WP Maps Pro → find “Google Maps Amenities.”
- Turn it on: Check Show Amenities.
- Radius & unit: Choose Miles or KM and enter the search radius.
- Pick categories: Select which amenities to include (cafes, hospitals, parks, ATMs, etc.).
- Map output: In “Display Nearby Amenities (Addon Settings),” tick Display amenities data on map and set an optional Amenities Load Time.
- By current location (optional): Enable Nearby amenities by user current location to center the map on the visitor (with permission).
- Listing control: Choose how the results appear in the listing panel.
- Save & test: View the map and try a few radii to balance relevance and speed.
