PDF Viewer for WordPress lets visitors read PDFs on your site without downloading first. It adds a small “view” icon next to each PDF in your WP Display Files listing; clicking opens a clean, responsive popup with page controls. It works with files from your server and from cloud sources connected through WP Display Files.
How It Works
- Install: Activate WP Display Files and the PDF Viewer for WordPress add-on. In WordPress, go to WePlugins → Plugins List and enable both.
- Set popup size: Go to WePlugins → WP Display Files → the PDF Viewer tab and choose the preview window size. Save.
- Create a listing: In WP Display Files, click “Create Shortcode,” choose your source (server folder or Drive/Dropbox/Box/S3), pick a layout, and save.
- Publish: Paste the shortcode on a page. A view icon appears beside each PDF; clicking opens the popup with next/previous navigation and an optional download button.
