PDF for GravityView lets you export or email polished PDFs that mirror your GravityView Single Entry layout. Add a “View/Download PDF” link, offer an email-this-PDF form, and customize headers, footers, fonts, colors, page size, margins, and backgrounds—all from the View editor. It’s a fast way to turn entries into receipts, applications, reports, or certificates without writing templates.
Create branded PDFs from GravityView Single Entry layouts—add a download link, email the PDF, and control headers, footers, fonts, colors, sizes, margins, and backgrounds with PDF for GravityView.
How It Works
- Meet the requirements: Gravity Forms, GravityView (v2.16+), and Gravity PDF (installed automatically when you activate this add-on).
- Add the fields: In the View editor, insert Link to Single Entry PDF (button/link) and, on the Single Entry layout, Share Single Entry PDF (email form).
- Configure the PDF: In View → Single Entry PDF tab, set filename (supports merge tags), paper size/orientation, margins, font/size, colors, header, footer, and optional background image/CSS.
- Attach to notifications (optional): Include the generated PDF with your Gravity Forms notifications.
- Publish: Display the link on Multiple Entries and/or Single Entry; let users download or email the PDF instantly.
Key Features
- View-aware PDFs: Output matches your Single Entry layout (Table/DataTables, List, Map; DIY has basic support).
- Two new fields: Link to Single Entry PDF (supports “open in new tab,” force download, custom link text, link expiration) and Share Single Entry PDF (email address input, customizable subject/message).
- Design controls: Header/footer editors (with page numbers), fonts and sizes, colors, page size/orientation, margins, background color/image, plus extra CSS.
- Smart visibility: Per-field toggles—Exclude from PDF or Only Include in PDF—so the PDF can differ from the on-page View.
- Notifications: Auto-attach the Single Entry PDF to Gravity Forms notifications.
- Watermarks (optional): Works with Gravity PDF’s Watermark extension for text/image watermarks.
- Merge tags everywhere: Use Gravity Forms merge tags in filenames, headers/footers, link text, and email copy.

Quick Setup Tips
- Start with a Table or List Single Entry—these map most cleanly to PDF.
- Name files smartly (e.g., {Entry ID}-{First Name}.pdf) so downloads are unique.
- Use Exclude from PDF/Only Include in PDF to trim clutter and add PDF-only details.
- Add page numbers in headers/footers with {PAGENO} and {nbpg}.
- If emailing from the “Share” field, send from your site domain and verify deliverability (SMTP helps).
