To let you know - this latest version - 21.7.1

Throws an error after install and breaks the install
The error is:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}', expecting end of file in /Users/admin/Documents/programming/sites/betheme/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions/theme-functions.php on line 2314

Who knows where that is because the functions.php actually loads a series of other files and resources - it would be hard to track down the culprit - maybe a note to the dev may enlighten to the issue

Going back to 21.7 - that works....

Did you tried to import demos? I suggest you to try it first

delete lines from 2301 to 2314

This looks pretty much as a mistake on your end. Have you uploaded the theme via FTP overwriting an existing folder or have you used the Appearance » Themes upload method?

That file hasn't changed in the last few versions, so having an extra bracket means you've tried to patch something or somebody else modified that file and you didn't overwrite it when updating the theme...
