This looks pretty much as a mistake on your end. Have you uploaded the theme via FTP overwriting an existing folder or have you used the Appearance » Themes upload method?

That file hasn't changed in the last few versions, so having an extra bracket means you've tried to patch something or somebody else modified that file and you didn't overwrite it when updating the theme...

Then I suggest you to update it this way:

1. upload new theme as betheme-new
2. rename old theme to betheme-old
3. rename betheme-new theme to betheme
4. remove betheme-old

This way you're sure you've correctly updated all files. Of course, you should always use betheme-child for your customizations.

I've been setup a complete new WP with BeTheme 21.7.3 and tried import a Demo. A failure message comes:

"The package could not be downloaded."

Is ther any trick or solution to make it work?

It seems the demo couldn't downloaded.

For almost of the demos works fine, probably i've not called coreactly the demo you're trying to import.

Which demo you're trying to import?
